About Morse Code
Morse code is a method of transmitting text information as a series of on-off tones, lights, or clicks. It was developed in the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail for their new invention, the telegraph. Each letter and number is represented by a unique sequence of dots (short signals) and dashes (long signals).
This translator converts text to Morse code and vice versa. Use spaces to separate Morse code characters and forward slashes (/) to separate words.
Examples:
- "hello" →
.... . .-.. .-.. --- - "sos" →
... --- ... - "morse code" →
